Guides/strips WearCorrosionFoodPackaging industry

Abrasion-resistant and corrosion-resistant up to nine metres long

In the food and packaging industry, products are transported along lengthy lines. Wear marks appear in the guides over time, resulting in conveying and production disruptions. The requirements for the material aren’t exactly slack: a highly wear-resistant surface with corrosion protection that can withstand aggressive cleaning agents. And up to nine metres in size to minimise transitions.

By hard inchromizing (CM 2001 and 03002), we produced a very tough surface, with a very low average coefficient of friction and high corrosion protection. Thanks to the tenacity of the layer, it is still possible to shape or straightening the guides afterwards to some extent.
